Clinical Psychologist Needed at Men’s Health Center

Lifespan Physician’s Group, Department of Psychiatry, is seeking a full-time clinical psychologist for the Men’s Health Center at The Miriam Hospital. Established in 2008, the Men’s Health Center provides clinical and mental health care for a variety of conditions that cause sexual dysfunction.  The Men’s Health Center is an outpatient clinic with referrals from Urology, Cardiology, Internal Medicine, and various mental health professionals. Patients referred to the clinic may present with chronic or acute medical problems, as well as co-morbid psychiatric conditions contributing to problems with sexual functioning.

The psychologist in the Men’s Health Center will provide clinical services as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes internists, urologists, and nurses. The psychologist will assess and treat the psychological aspects of sexual dysfunction, atypical sexual behavior, and gender dysphoria. Treatment interventions range from patient and partner education to therapy for individuals and couples. The psychologist may also have the opportunity to be involved in training and/or supervision of psychology or medical residents or fellows affiliated with the Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University. A clinical faculty appointment may be available for a candidate who meets the criteria. The position is primarily clinical, however, we welcome applicants who have interests in clinical research. Qualifications include completion of a doctorate in Clinical Psychology and an APA-accredited internship, licensure/license-eligibility in Rhode Island, and a strong background in evidence-based treatments.

Salary is competitive and commensurate with level of training and experience. In addition to a supportive and collaborative work environment, we offer an excellent benefits package including medical, dental, disability, and life insurance, retirement benefits, malpractice insurance, legal/risk management consultation, and a professional allowance.

Please send curriculum vitae along with a letter of interest to Kristy Dalrymple, Ph.D., Director of Adult Psychology (kdalrymple@lifespan.org or kristy_dalrymple@brown.edu).
