The deadline for submissions for the Best Student Manuscript Award will be February 22, 2018 by 11:59PM Eastern Time.
The winner receives $1,000 USD, a plaque, and an opportunity to present their work in a Brief Communication at the upcoming meeting in Madrid.
To be eligible for consideration, you must be:
- a student at the time the manuscript was written
- a student member of IASR in good standing (i.e., dues paid)
- first author of the manuscript (which should be substantially the work of the first author)
Articles currently under submission or review, in revision, accepted for publication, or published in the past calendar year will be considered. We will accept one submission per student per year. Past winners are ineligible.
Instructions: Before submitting, please de-identify the manuscript and save it as a .doc or .docx. If your manuscript is already published, submit the .doc or .docx version that was accepted for publication (but remove any identifying information such as authors' names, universities, etc.).
Email your manuscript to email@example.com. Additionally, ensure that your supervisor or mentor sends a brief email of support. Your supervisor may copy and paste the following statement and send it to firstname.lastname@example.org to show their support; a formal letter is not necessary.
Please accept this email as support of (STUDENT’S NAME)'s submission to the academy's Best Student Manuscript competition. The submitted manuscript is primarily (STUDENT'S NAME)'s work and (STUDENT'S NAME) is the first author on the manuscript.
